50th Wedding Anniversary

Hi Everyone, my card today is for a friend of mine, I have known her since we worked together 55 years ago, we sort of lost touch apart from Christmas cards and then after I retired, she was part of a get together of old workmates that I now go out with monthly. Here's a photo of me in the window of my old workplace, I like that they put me with some diarrhoea tablets LOL. (blue arrow points me out). The display with me in it! was because Boots was celebrating 120 years in Wales. Nope I wasn't there 120 years ago, nearly! but not quite.

Anyhow enough nonsense, on to my card. I used this card as inspiration Here.

Fishes!

Hi Everyone,  a card today of "Fishes" LOL. The progressive challenge at the Outlawz has both these fish as images to use, a zentangle and a simple image, I loved playing and colouring these. I found the perfect paper, (I think) for them, which is one paper out of 2 sets I won in a challenge a few weeks ago. The angle of the photo has somehow made it look like the layered background paper isn't straight, I used my "Perfect Layers" ruler to do it so I know it is, why do cameras do that, OK! why do I take photos at the wrong angle? LOL

After layering it onto the card, I sprayed it with CC's Spray and Sparkle, so it has a lovely all over sparkly effect.

Now onto another digital scrapbook page of our weekend away, this time more personal, we had such a lovely time and were so spoilt by my family.

floral Sympathy

Hi Everyone, my make for the Outlawz Sketch challenge today is very, very simple, a couple of layers and one paper and something from my first crafting experiences, to embellish a card - gold stickers! The die cutting took ages though, getting the right sizes to fit LOL. I wanted, so much, to put more on, a die cut or something, but I resisted and the end result is something I am pleased with.

gold stickers - Dovecraft

I thought I would add another digital scrapbook page of our weekend away, aren't you thrilled? AND I have a couple more to share - all say Yippee! LOL

Her Horse

Hi Everyone, I have done a digital scrapbook page for the Digitally Made challenge, which is asking for pets or animals. We unfortunately don't have any pets now, but I do have a niece who is head over heels in love with her Spanish horse. This was a photo I got recently and I decided to use it to enter the challenge.

I used texture and masks in Photoshop to get the end result

Tiger Tiger

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for

Anything Goes Challenge
you can use any image.

It's a late card as I got the date wrong for posting, oh! well here it is, the wonderful tiger image, I coloured it and played around in PS to get the effect I wanted. I wrapped twine around the embossed card and added the sentiment. A sort of quick card except for the colouring which took a long while. I hope it looks "wild" with the twine.

Snowman

Hi Everyone, I'm back with the Outlawz sketch challenge this week and decided to add to my slowly growing Christmas cards.

A search through my files for digi Christmas paper and I came across this lovely digi kit with unusual colours for Christmas. It was bought in 2014 so I don't know if it's still available. The pine needles in the digi paper are the same colour of green in the scarf, but they look green in the photo for some reason. AND when I was posting this I noticed that I hadn't added the ribbon!! Oh! well I tried LOL.

Our weekend break

Hi Everyone, I've had a little rest from blogging and it was quite pleasant, BUT gotta get back to it, to show you what I've been doing. I hope I've caught up with your blogs, but if I haven't I will try too soon.

Here's a scrapbook page of our 4 day break with my Brother and SiL in Linconshire. We had the most wonderful weather after all the rain we have had here, it was wonderful to feel the warmth of the sun and see blue skies ahhhhh!
I recently sent photos to be printed in a book, it came back so beautifully I decided to do another, this will be one of a double page spread. I intend to add digital pages of our weekend photos, so look out to be bored LOL.

The flag on the left is St Georges the English flag
the top right is the Royalist flag and the one under it is the Parliamentarian flag

Boxes and bags

Hi Everyone, as we are away for a few days I thought you would like, as promised a looky at what I had been making with my unused files. So I've scheduled posts the last couple of days.

Here they are, random 250g pages from pads I bought in The Range. I reversed the card for the labels and added white paper to write on. I prettied them up a little with die cuts.

They are lovely sizes, I haven't changed them from the original size, they are from large to small for any impromptu gift. I now have some spare expensive choccies to hand to fill some of these boxes. The large box on the right is 8 inches by 4.5inches, the smallest is the square with cut outs in the front which is 2.3/4 inches x 2 inch high AND all resizable on Silhouette Cameo.

I was thrilled with the results and as the pads were only £2.99 for 24 double sided designs they are cheap as chips, as they say, and make a little gift into something special.

I still have more designs in my files, but I think a Christmas pad will be required next LOL.

Hydrangea Sprite

Hi Everyone, another card with old files, I'm doing well - so far LOL. Blue is also a neglected colour and now - so  Very blue.
Hydrangea Sprite - Aurora Wings coloured in PS to match the photo
background paper - my own garden hydrangeas, using a blur in PS
now for the neglected files
embossing folders - Tattered Lace
border - Shirleys Cards looped border
dark blue card - Tonic
ribbon from stash

Seeing as this has our hydrangeas in it I thought I would share this years blooms, we haven't had as good a show as we usually do, as a late frost caught the tips of the new growth and I think the rains have encouraged growth, but not flowers.
I think this is the largest this year, you wouldn't think it in the photo,
BUT look below this one where I've measured it.

over 7 inches

you can still see the burnt tips, very few and small flowers, but the spiders like it.

Also thought you may like to see some of the rain we have had in the last few days, it's been more like Autumn than Summer, with awful thunder and lightening at times.
puddles on the patio

lashing like stair rods, you can see it bouncing up from the patio

even bouncing on the roof

Yep! it's raining!
